Seaside Siesta Sunday May 7 2017

What a change some sunshine makes.

The morning was cold, windy, and I really didn't feel like walking along the wharf....

Yes, there are many boats.
Yes, the seafood stalls are many.
Yes, the open air market was busy.

As we bravely ploughed our way our way through the crowd, I began to let go of my resistance, and began to notice more of my surroundings.  In my personal grumbly bubble, I almost walked past a wonderful living statue; without even noticing it.

Luckily the statue catch my gaze....and this is the result.

Further along the dockside the old timer trucks were not only good windbreakers, but also close up; worth taking more detailed photos of workmanship van time's gone by.

The clouds finally melted away in the early afternoon.  The fish and chips tasted twice as fresh and delicious, knowing that they couldn't be any fresher, than coming from that dock.

Sunshine warmed up the public, and lit up the seaside.  The boats reflected their colors joyfully against the departing clouds.

My favorite picture of the day sums up familiar quote: after every storm, there is sun.

The day at the seaside fair was a splendid siesta Sunday for me.
