These last few days have been a test of what our family is made of. Mother inlaw has died; and now we, the family, are pulling together to pay our final respects. With so many siblings, partners, grandchildren; it is a huge challenge for us to work together to make the arrangements, and services a special tribute to who she was. Each has their own emotions, memories and thoughts about what is right or appropriate.
There have been intense discussions, disagreements, and outright blow ups. Sometimes it is difficult to hear a truth, or to accept that people have other views and opinions.
But one thing stands above all else, we are FAMILY....through thick and thin. Each and everyone loved and respected her...so we are going to do this together. For her, and honestly....for us. The family. That stands above all.
This weekend will be difficult, and emotions will run high. But I am counting on the LOVE will run even higher and deeper....and further.
