A day full of unexpecting happenings. I had planned to get some serious bookkeeping done, but was asked to come along on a shopping expedition with hubby. Good reason to let go, and be flexible and open for adventure. Ended up with him buying himself his dream running shoes, I bought lovely candles for my table piece, and a new showerhead for our bathroom. Fun. Spontaneous. When we drove out to the store; the weather was gray, but nothing threatening. As we came out of the hardware store, we were slammed by sheets of rain, and wind. There lightening bolts in the distance. Totally unexpected. As we ran to the car, laughing at our sudden clumsyness with all our bags, we got soaked. In the short half hour it took to drive home, the storm subsided, and the sun came out in full glory. I was so happy to see this:
That already made my day. For the rest of the day, I kept remembering the wonder of the rainbows. I love those amazing crystal clear bands of colour. Also remembered the mystery and promises behind the rainbow.
But mother nature still had one more gift.
As I drove to my friends' home at 7 pm to deliver some things, I was blessed to view this; for the entire drive to their place...
