This is a bonus of living here in Holland in the spring.
Having 2 business meetings in another part of Holland, I had to drive through the tulip fields that are in full bloom at the moment. This is amazing to see, even at highway speeds. The blocks of color are amazing. It lasts for only a few weeks, so I was very happy that I had the chance to see it.
One big "gratitude" moment as I drove through.
Also trying to get my creative side going again. I am trying to work with watercolors. Ok, they are the ones that are the cheapest, but just to try and get a feel for how it works, and just to dabble with water and color on paper.
I did my first attempt in my journal. Actually quite happy with the first-timer results. For those who can't guess what kind of flower it is.....they are poppies.
Yesterday I celebrated my Dad's life and passing. It's been 7 years since he died. At times it feels like it was only 7 days ago....but most of the time; the pain is softer and more gentle.
This coming week it is the Dutch Remembrance Day on the May the 4th, and on May the 5th it is our national holiday: Freedom Day. A strong and much needed reminder of what freedom is, and how it was gotten. Something that we take for granted so often....
