It has been quite the week.
Some good things: getting couple's counselling (scary, but even so; we need help).
Some bad things: sister has to go back for immediate surgery, the cancer has not been fully removed with surgery. Now it is a full radical mastectomy. This coming Thursday she goes under the knife again. My prayers are with her, 24/7.
To try and put my mind in neutral, I decided yesterday to make some "medicine". Homemade, and full of things that are NOT good for me, but oh so delicious. My one and only reason is: chocolate is a known medicine for stress and nervousness. So bring on the "pure" chocolate, and lots of sugars.
My medicine of choice was to bake / make NANAIMO BARS.
Chocolate bombs of the best sort.
Took the first "dose" this morning, with my coffee.
The buzz was and is great.
May need to take a second dose, with afternoon tea.
Hence, my "sugared" Siesta Sunday.
