Needing a Mindful Monday.
Since the Christmas season as started, all my routines have been tossed out of the window. I get the bare minimum done of my necessary chores and errands, and the rest....has been taken over by the Christmas "spirit"....
It is that most wonderful time of the year....
Once those boxes come down from the attic, and the tree stand is standing there...me and my "helpers" can 't help ourselves....we want begin.
As the first box is opened, there is no stopping. One decoration leads to another. Balls, candles, garlands, wreaths, cards, sentimental ornaments. Indoor lights, tree lights, and outdoor lights (guess who got to put those up ....glad I am not afraid of heights).
This weekend was spent doing that. There is still several boxes of delights to be unpacked. My siesta Sunday, was worth the busy day.
So today, is my day to be mindful and slow down mentally, to remember that the coming days is not only about decorations, and lights, and putting on a Christmas " SHOW".....but to slow down....and to feel and KNOW that Christmas is about family, friends; love and caring.
