Yesterday was a lovely Saturday. We finally had truly summer weather. It was a "putter day"...where I just puttered around, only doing the minimal of things that needed to be done.
Gave myself a pedicure, and applied RED nail polish to my my toes. That is a sure sign that summer has arrived.
In the later afternoon, we got ready for a surprise birthday feast for a friend who is turning 40. It was a delight to see that she was totally unaware of what was really planned for her.
We had received a secret invitation, with dress code, location, and a request to be good and hungry, because it was going to be an all evening 7 course buffet dinner served and as a special surprise a special guest singer of international fame would perform.
Naturally we were all excited and curious.
As we arrived at the location, there was a large group of people who where quietly waiting the arrived of the birthday girl. We all were connect to her, but most of us did not know each other. During the course of the evening, as the food and drink began to flow, people were talking, and getting to know each other.
The venue and the weather were perfect. The singer, also was a delight (Remco Harms from "LA the Voices"). It was a wonderful way to celebrate her birthday, and a super beginning to my siesta Sunday.
