Today while doing errands, I literally had a run in with someone. As I was standing in line;waiting at the cash register to pay; a woman and her little daughter stormed through behind me, bumped into me and threw me off balance, which sent me tumbling against the counter. As she plowed through, she yelled " sorry, don't look so -issed; lady". I hadn't even a chance to register what had happened, let alone even hadn't thrown her a "ticked off" glance. As she and daughter plowed out of the store, I could only smile at the cashier, and say..." and the good cheer of the Christmas season only begins today". We both agreed and finished our transaction. Moments later I crossed paths again with the same bulldozing mother, who again had an altercation with another shopper. How sad, that this type of behavior is happening more and more. Not road rage, but shopping rage.
It is now an official challenge of mine as of today, until Christmas, not to let these types of "party crashers" take the pleasure out of my Christmas preparations. Short tempers, impatience, and snide remarks I will try to smother them with a smile, and mantra's of HoHoHo, and humming the music of Christmas carols.
Today, December 1....is the beginning of my journey to Christmas 2014.
Found my holiday season music. So that will be a start to helping me be more inspired to enjoy the days up to Christmas.
What do you do, to get into the Christmas spirit?
