I can see clearly now...Thursday Nov. 13

What a difference a pair of new prescription glasses can make.  The past few months I found myself taking off my regular glasses and grabbing for reading glasses.  Silly, because my normal glasses were already multi focal. But, as with everything else, and age....my eyes are also getting old.
It's been 4 years since I had my eyes checked. A dear friend of mine is an eyesight technician, so I had asked her to come along to help me. We made a fun shopping evening of it.  There are so many frames to choose from.  From being over the top too expensive (just for a brand name) to frames that were totally  "wrong" for me.

After 3 stores, and hours later; we were successful.  Frames that were chic, not overpowering, and age appropriate.  Also added to our selection, were a pair of sunglasses, also with  prescription  lenses.
Today I went and got my new glasses.

Truly, a huge difference.
I can see clearly now.
Far away, and close up.
The biggest improvement is that I can read more comfortably, and also see the details of what I am holding in my hands.  Like with threading a needle or doing my handwork.  Also looking into the distance, everything seems sharper, and more defined.
Wonderful.
Made me appreciate the joy of sight, and now enjoying  seeing even more details, and colours.

Referring back to my interest in trying a new daily routine.
I only succeeded in doing part one, this morning.  The reading for 20 minutes. What I read, hit home with me.  I had not pre-planned what I would read.  But read from a daily devotional book.  And it fit perfectly to what I have been longing for in my life, and in myself.
It is based on JOY, and feeling the energy and the "in the moment"  pleasure of being alive, and aware of only the present.  Not being distracted by worries of the future, or memories and emotions of the past. Just content and OK with NOW.

Tomorrow, I will again try to go further with my private hour.

Looking forward to seeing what it brings.
