What a rough start today. From one crisis to another. From our dogs knocking over a biker, to 3 complete window/exterior wall panels that had been made wrong at the factory have to be re-ordered and re-made; to getting soaked in a cloud burst. And that all before lunch time. Difficult to see or feel "joy" in those moments. Feel more like growling, and curling up in a corner to warm up, and try to get away from all the stress.
BUT that is not going to happen.
Yesterday's predicted storm has hit, and even the dogs are feeling it. Everyone is irritated, and out of sorts. Me included.
Several cups of marrokken mint tea, cup of hot soup and many deep breathes later, I have been able to deal with some of my mishaps today.
Trying to let go of my grumbly feelings. Probably the best way is to focus on what does count:
my daily thank you's:
1. A friend's listening ear, and a shoulder to lean on; while talking out my irritation, and frustrations with the morning madness.
2. Thankful for leftovers and easy dinners, on rainy storm days like this.
3. Being able to use computers, and modern technology to stay in touch with family and friends all over the world. Still boggles my mind that this is all possible. Just even the last 10 years are amazing. Just hope it doesn't replace real relationships and the art of personal conversation ( without emoticons !!!)
4. A soothing hot bath before I go to bed this evening and ...
5. A warm bed to curl up into tonight.
